Not an Annotated Bibliography
- An annotated bibliography summarizes and evaluates sources individually.
- Lacks synthesis and connections between different sources.
Not an Essay, Report, or Research Paper
- Does not argue a thesis or develop main points.
- Lacks the structure of a traditional argumentative or analytical essay.
Not a Direct Answer to a Research Question
- A literature review explores existing knowledge without presenting new findings.
- Does not aim to resolve a problem or establish conclusions.
Not Just a List of Summaries
- Goes beyond summarizing to analyze and synthesize sources.
- Focuses on identifying relationships and gaps in the literature.
